How Do I Convert an Existing Overdenture into a LOCATOR FIXED Prosthesis?

A:  To convert an existing overdenture to a LOCATOR FIXED prosthesis, you will need the following:

The overdenture to LOCATOR FIXED conversion process is very straight forward.

  1. Change the existing removable overdenture housings to LOCATOR FIXED housings
  2. Trim back the flanges of the denture to convert into a hybrid denture
  3. Change to LOCATOR FIXED inserts

Once this is complete all that is left to do is place the LOCATOR FIXED prosthesis

Elliot Navarette, Zest Technical Support Lead and CDT, demonstrates how to remove locator housing / denture cap from an existing LOCATOR overdenture and modify it into a LOCATOR FIXED prosthesis in the 22 minute video below.
