Everyone on your team deserves to learn new techniques and hone their skills! That’s why we accept dentists, specialists, denturists, technicians, and dental assistants and hygienists, too! Convenient Online Prerequisites
Attending a CE course can sometimes feel overwhelming. Being inundated with a slew of new information all in one sitting can be hard to process and is often unproductive. Our self-paced online prerequisites alleviate this as you’ll be able to get your footing with some introductory information before you ever step foot in our Global Education Center. By completing the online portion of the course you’ll become familiarized with the products, treatments, and techniques, giving you a leg up and a strong foundation to build your knowledge on in person. You will also be able to get more out of the 2-day mastership since you already know the basics and dive right into the more advanced topics and skill-building exercises.
Get to Know the Products & Tools
During the hands-on portion each day, you will be introduced to the products that you will use during LOCATOR FIXED® pickup procedures. This means that you will get experience with a real prosthesis and the actual tools, materials, and equipment you would use during the real procedure. During the mock procedures you will first use our LOCATOR CHAIRSIDE™ Prep & Polish Kit which contains all the burs you need to to support an accurate and efficient pickup of denture attachment housings. You will be using this kit in conjunction with the MacroCab+, which is a large, self-contained dust cabinet for a clean and tidy workspace.
Use will also get to roll up your sleeves and try out our proprietary line of LOCATOR CHAIRSIDETM materials. This revolutionary product family includes our fan-favorite Attachment Processing Material, a versatile, strong restorative composite that boasts natural esthetics and superior polishing capabilities. Because it is a resin composite as opposed to an acrylic which is traditionally used in pickup procedures, you can rest assured that it will create strong, mechanical retention in your pickups. Plus, it is tasteless, odorless, and has a low curing temperature, which makes it extremely patient friendly. You’ll learn this and much more during your hands-on portion and lectures each day. Our on-site team of doctors and clinical success representatives are there to help you every step of the way.
Day 1: Roll Into Networking & Learning
When you arrive on day one, you will be greeted with a scrumptious catered breakfast and fresh coffee while you get a chance to pick up your badge and meet your fellow mastership course-mates. Feel free to ask one of the team members for a tour of our beautifully renovated Education Center if there’s time! Once everyone is situated, lectures will begin. We know how important it is to fuel your brain while learning, so you’ll get plenty of chances to stretch your legs and network during our coffee, snack, and lunch breaks. After your catered lunch, you will move over to the hands-on portion of day one. One of our speakers will guide you through the process of applying the exact techniques you learned about during the lecture portion with 3D models and real equipment and materials.
Once the hands-on exercises are complete, it’s time to head back to your hotel, freshen up and get ready for a hosted dinner and an evening of fun! Locations may vary based on the season and availability, but you are likely to join your peers for some friendly competition at Flight Club, a hidden gem nestled in The Venetian. Flight Club is the birthplace of the Social Darts® phenomenon and offers delicious bites, craft cocktails and mocktails, and crave-worthy desserts. You’re in for a treat!
Day 2: Foster Connections & Celebrate Your Accomplishment
In the morning, you’ll come back for another catered breakfast to fuel up for another day of learning and honing the skills you were introduced to the day before. You will once again start with engaging lectures before moving to the second hands-on activities. You will even get the chance to participate in case reviews to get real-time feedback from your peers and the experts on case management and treatment planning. If you’d like to participate in the case review portion, be sure to prepare a case or two by creating a slide deck presentation to share!
To finish out the course, we will take a moment to celebrate everyone’s hard work and accomplishments in a lively awards ceremony. You’ll be given your diploma, certifying that you have officially become a Zest Master certified clinician!
